Our office at Chiropractic & Rehab is now implementing the 7 tests of the Functional Movement Screen to better asses our patients. This allows us to document movement patterns which are key for normal function. We have expanded our wellness team to include an exercise physiologist, Casey. What does this mean for patients? We can screen patients for improper movement and determine the best coarse of treatment and maximize patient care. The results are unbelievable!

Neurological tests, or nerve conduction studies, are important in diagnosing problems related to nerves, muscles, spinal cord or the brain. These tests measure the speed and intensity of electrical signals through nerves and calculate the time and velocity in which muscles respond to these impulses.

Because nerves actually produce small amounts of electricity, their activity can be affected by disease, injury, or other conditions. Diagnosis is extremely important in helping your doctor develop your treatment plan.

Our neurological tests help in diagnosing: -Pinched Nerves -Carpal Tunnel Syndrome -Tarsal Tunnel -Spinal Cord Dysfunction -Nerve disorders and Neuromuscular Disorders. For more information go to www.bmtndx.com.

Poor posture creates muscle imbalances, in-coordination, and other dysfunctions. These problems can be identified by postural analysis, gait analysis, muscle length tests, and evaluation of key movement patterns. These imbalances are many times the reason why pain recurs and conditions become chronic. Our focus is to treat and educate patients on how they can correct these problems whether it be while working at the office or working around the house.

Our office is equipped with cardiovascular equipment as well as strength training bands, tubing and stability balls. Research shows that to achieve lasting pain relief it is imperative to strengthen weak and dysfunctional muscles. Although sometimes muscle are more painful in the short-term, therapeutic exercise is the key to long-term pain relief. Our programs are designed on an individual basis and specific for each condition. We also prescribe “low-tech” at home programs that can be done easily in minutes and still offer the remarkable benefits some people think can only come from an expensive gym membership and fancy equipment.
